The ones from the Hospital are actually a clinic in the compound where I
work and train Afghan medics. They are extremely proud of this "hospital".

In this pictures is a table with some half-filled water bottles that I came to find out were filled with iodine and milk of magnesia! Very sanitary as you can well imagine.

This is the "lab" for this "hospital." Most high school chemistry or biology labs are much better equipped than this and basically they can tell you a blood type and screen urine for blood here.
Not much at all.

They call me a "daaktar" here which translates as a doctor. The medical
training that I have received is on a par with what their physicians can do,
in fact there are many procedures that I know which their doctors don't.

These are some of the views that I have on my way to work. We change routes
every day for security reasons, but it really doesn't look much different
than these.
