Traffic: Best Practices

Niki Thomas and Phil Brian will lead attendees in a round table discussion of best practices in your traffic departments. Bring your best ideas and maybe even a problem or two that you would like help in solving!

Niki Thomas graduated from Virginia College with a degree in Media Marketing Management. After graduation, she joined the staff of WTTO and WABM TV in Birmingham where she worked as local sales assistant and later, the general manager’s assistant.

In 2006, she became the national sales assistant at WIAT-TV. Within two years, the general manager promoted Niki to serve as Human Resource Director and his executive assistant. She served in those roles until 2013, when she joined the staff of the Alabama Broadcasters Association.

Niki is the Manager of Membership and PEP (Public Education Partnership) Development. She works closely with stations to insure PEP spots air and generates monthly reports for the clients. In addition, she is integral to the production of the ABBY Awards and the annual conference.

Niki lives with her son Gage and “the big three”… Rocky, Stella and Midnight.
