The Alabama Broadcasters Engineering Academy announces a special one-day seminar covering audio mixing for broadcast engineers, church sound crews and anyone interested in sound mixing.<\/b><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

Poor sound can be extremely distracting. We\u2019ve probably all been there both in the broadcast studio or church service. The worship leaders\u2019 mic gives annoying feedback during the service, the preacher sounds like he\u2019s underwater or you can\u2019t hear the lead vocals over the band during worship. Though it is often a thankless role, the church sound tech has the power to enhance or detract from the communication of the gospel in our church services in the sanctuary and over the air.<\/p>\n

If you are involved in mixing audio for live events or recording then you need to attend this special seminar. \u00a0We will cover items such as microphone selection and placement; proper operation of mixing consoles; sound checks; using digital audio workstations; and much more. \u00a0This will be a hands-on technical seminar with actual equipment presented by professional sound engineers with years of experience.<\/p>\n

The seminar is presented by the ABA Engineering Academy at no cost<\/em><\/span>\u00a0and will be held at St. Luke United Methodist Church – 1104 2nd Ave, Columbus GA – on Saturday March 18th<\/sup>, from 10:00 AM till 3:00 PM. \u00a0Lunch will be provided.<\/strong> \u00a0Churches are encouraged to bring their volunteer sound crews.<\/strong><\/p>\n
