He also worked at WPXE-Starke FL, WPLK-Rockmart GA, WIYN-Rome GA, WGAD-Gadsden, WZOB-Fort Payne and the <em>Dekalb County News<\/em>.\u00a0In 1969, he and his family moved to Elba, where he purchased WELB-AM. In 1986 he opened WZTZ-FM. In 2006, WZTZ was moved to Enterprise and became WVVL-FM, otherwise known as Weevil 101.
