For the third consecutive year, the Alabama Broadcasters Association Education Foundation will award $5,000 Education Debt Assistance Grants to help broadcasters pay down student loans. There are five of these $5,000 grants available currently. <\/p>\n
All five recipients will be announced in June. Applications are being accepted from May 9 through close of business on May 31, 2022.<\/p>\n
Previous recipients <\/em>are not eligible.<\/p>\n Previous applicants <\/em>may apply again.<\/p>\n DOWNLOAD PRINTED APPLICATION<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n Applicants must meet the following criteria:<\/p>\n \u2022 Must be currently employed at an Alabama broadcast radio or television station and have an intent to remain in the business and in the state;<\/p>\n \u2022 Employer (radio or television station) must be a current member of the Alabama Broadcasters Association;<\/p>\n \u2022 Must have completed a minimum of two years of employment (minimum of 20+ hours per week) with an Alabama broadcast radio or television station;<\/p>\n \u2022 Must submit a letter of application that addresses the following: Why did you choose a career in broadcasting? Why is this grant important to you?
