Jack Worley is the son of a railroad executive. He was born in Mobile, AL. and raised in Atlanta, GA and Chattanooga TN. He began his broadcasting career at the old WAGC studios atop the Patton Hotel in Chattanooga. Jack attended the management course at Harvard University in Boston under the auspices of the National Association of Broadcasters.<\/p>\n
He is a veteran of the Koren Conflict and served with the U.S. Navy being stationed in Keflavik, Iceland where he was charged with the construction of he Navy’s first radio station in that country. He also served in Hawaii and Scotland.<\/p>\n
In addition to his radio work in Chattanooga, Jack was a Sales Executive for WGAD Radio in Gadsden, AL and later moved to WOWL Radio in Florence, AL. He managed the station from sixth in the marketplace to number one. He later bought a percentage of ownership in WOWL Television, which he managed for a number of years before being named President and Chief Executive Officer.<\/p>\n
In his capacity as a talent, he traveled extensively around the world, interviewing various celebrities including Keenan Wynn, Gary Cooper, Michael Landon, Richard Chamberlain, Tony Randall, Barbara Eden and Don Johnson. Jack has appeared on the Hee Haw Show with Roy Clark and Buck Owens, which he states, was one of his happier broadcast events.<\/p>\n
