WTTO\/WABM, in Birmingham, AL, is seeking a Credit Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for tracking and resolving outstanding payment issues, including collection activities, such as sending follow-up inquiries. In addition, you will also be responsible for negotiating past due accounts, maintaining records, and referring accounts to collection agencies. This position will be an integral part of the credit hub and will provide assistance with accounts receivable functions for more than one television station.<\/p>\n

Experience:
\nResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:<\/p>\n
\u2022Make Collection calls
\n\u2022Prepare and maintain various reports
\n\u2022maintain an accurate aging report
\n\u2022maintain up-to-date records in system
\n\u2022Collection and allocation of payments
\n\u2022Carry out billing, collection and reporting activities according to specific deadlines
\n\u2022Reconciliation of accounts
\n\u2022Monitor client account details for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities
\n\u2022Follow established procedures for processing credit applications, adjustments, checks, refunds, etc.
\n\u2022Investigate and resolve customer queries
\n\u2022Communicate with internal personnel and clients via phone, email, mail or personally
\n\u2022Submit delinquent accounts to collections, as needed
\n\u2022Release orders according to deadlines
\n\u2022Perform other related duties as required and assigned
\nRequirements:
\nRequired Skills:<\/p>\n
\u2022Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel
\n\u2022Must be a strong analytical thinker
\n\u2022Ability to prioritize and multitask
\n\u2022Possess a high level of attention to detail
\n\u2022Excellent communication (both written and over the phone) skills
\n\u2022Demonstrated ability to work well with others
\n\u2022Knowledge of general accounting principals
\n\u2022Broadcasting or media experience preferred
\n\u2022Microsoft Office programs, Excel, Word Exchange etc.
\n\u2022Experience with a broadcast traffic system such as Oracle or Wide Orbit a plus
