Details:
\nThis position will be responsible for the overall management of creating and
\ndisseminating local digital journalism content across multiple distribution
\nplatforms including two broadcast television stations. Insure journalistic
\nstandards are uniformly applied to all digital journalism content. In addition
\nto delivering content, this position will manage the associated marketing,
\ntechnology and production processes and systems necessary to support this
\nmission critical effort. Assure that the presentation and marketing of digital
\njournalism content adheres to the television station’ s strategic brand. Manage
\nthe maintenance and operation of technical equipment needed for the collection,
\nediting and presentation of digital content.<\/p>\n

Experience:
\nB. A. or B. S. from an accredited college or university. 5 years or more
\nsenior level management experience at a network affiliated local television
\nstation. Preference of that management experience as a News Director. First hand
\nknowledge and understanding of basic journalistic standards and ethical decision
\nmaking experience is an important skill for this position. A strong
\nunderstanding of product branding and promotion is essential to the position.
\nStrong leadership and management skills are critical as this position has
\noversight for a variety of station operations, including those typically
\nassociated with the news, marketing and technical engineering departments. The
\nideal candidate for this position has strong organization and delegation skills
\nas well as a creative vision for the future of local journalism based content
\ncreation and distribution. <\/p>\n

\nan entry level management job, the person who fills this position will be
\nresponsible for the creation and distribution of local content across multiple
\nplatforms. The Director of Digital Journalism will manage news, marketing,
\nproduction and engineering process for the television station and website.
\nExperience and clear understanding of web content and search engine optimization
\nis required. This position requires a broadcast journalism degree from an
\naccredited college or university and a minimum of five years senior level
\nmanagement as a News or Marketing Director.<\/p>\n
