Our Topical Producer is responsible for writing, shooting and editing well-branded teases for afternoon and late newscasts. Fortunately for you, we\u2019re in the central time zone.<\/p>\n

RESPONSIBILITIES:
\n\u2022Attend daily editorial meetings with the news team
\n\u2022Write, shoot and edit topical promos and in-show teases for 5, 6, 6:30, 9, and 10:00PM newscasts.
\n\u2022Incorporate interactive and social media with branding efforts
\n\u2022Tag episodic promos
\n\u2022Review Public Service Announcements
\n\u2022Serve as station brand ambassador for special events
\n\u2022Some commercial production
\n\u2022Assist news team during breaking news, special events, and weather coverage<\/p>\n
QUALIFICATIONS:
\n\u2022A minimum of 1 year experience in promotion, advertising, marketing or television newsroom
\n\u2022Understand marketing and branding principals
\n\u2022Superior tease and copywriting skills
\n\u2022Proficiency with Final Cut Pro & Adobe Creative Cloud
\n\u2022Organized and able to meet tight deadlines
\n\u2022Strong videographer who understands lighting principals
\n\u2022A team player who can work independently
\n\u2022Comfortably communicate with a wide range of personalities
\n\u2022Understand and use social media and other forms of content delivery
\n\u2022Possess the ability and willingness to learn new skills and technology
\n\u2022Willing to work a flexible schedule that could include late night, early morning or weekend hours
\n\u2022Accept other duties as assigned
\n\u2022Have valid driver\u2019s license
\n\u2022Pass a drug test<\/p>\n
Education Requirements:
\nA college degree in a related field is helpful but not required.<\/p>\n
