\nWe are looking for someone to step into a leadership role in our newsroom, mentoring young reporters, working with producers and helping WTVY build on its long-standing tradition as the dominant market leader for local news.
\nPrimary responsibilities include co-anchoring and producing our newscasts on our NBC sister station, WRGX. Some reporting will also be required with this position. Strong writing, shooting and editing skills is essential for this position. Knowledge of Panasonic P2 cameras, Edius, Sonic Foundry Vegas and INews is also a plus. WTVY covers counties in three states; Alabama, Florida and Georgia. Our primary DMA is in Southeast Alabama.
\nWTVY is the established market leader in Dothan. We have a live truck, a satellite truck, multiple backpack live units and three bureaus. WTVY produces more than 28 hours of live news per week. At least one year of commercial experience is required.
