This is a position for a reporter or multimedia journalist with a proven track record that includes the following:<\/p>\n
Core Job Functions:<\/p>\n
\u2022Must have a solid grasp of how to tell stories with words, video, sound and graphics.
\n\u2022A superior ability to develop enterprise story ideas, develop sources & contacts, and research stories.
\n\u2022Aggressive response to spot news, breaking news and severe weather.
\n\u2022Shooting and editing on non-linear platforms.
\n\u2022Web Posting: Post video and text content to station\u2019s website.
\n\u2022Potential exists for fill-in anchoring<\/p>\n
If you have not already been doing these things successfully for more than 2 years at a commercial television station, please do not waste your time.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s not clear yet what shift the person hired for this position will work. It\u2019ll be dependent on where your skills are best suited and the potential for other internal reassignments.<\/p>\n
