WBRC 6 News is expanding its live streaming strategy \u2014 and we\u2019re looking for a creative, driven Streaming Producer and Host to help build the future of how our audience consumes local news.<\/p>\n
This is not a traditional line-producer role. This position is focused on developing compelling, live-streaming content that extends our broadcast brand and creates meaningful, must-watch digital programming. This role also includes hosting and co-hosting streaming shows as needed \u2014 blending strong editorial judgment with confident on-camera presence.<\/p>\n
Duties\/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:<\/p>\n
What You\u2019ll Do:
\n– Produce live daily streaming shows, including afternoon and evening blocks
\n– Host or co-host streaming programs as needed
\n– Develop streaming-first rundowns designed specifically for digital audiences
\n– Write conversational, viewer-focused scripts
\n– Lead live interviews and breaking news coverage
\n– Work closely with anchors to shape tone, pacing, and digital storytelling
\n– Integrate breaking news, investigative reporting, weather, and community segments
\n– Monitor real-time analytics and adjust content strategy accordingly
\n– Collaborate with digital and broadcast teams to maximize reach<\/p>\n

Qualifications\/Requirements:<\/p>\n
– Strong news judgment and understanding of daily news flow
\n– Producing experience (TV, digital, streaming, or hybrid)
\n– Excellent writing skills with a conversational tone
\n– Comfortable, credible on-camera presence
\n– Ability to thrive under deadline pressure
\n– Collaborative, solution-oriented mindset
\n– Familiarity with newsroom systems (ENPS preferred)
\n– Bachelor\u2019s degree in journalism or related field preferred<\/p>\n
