WBRC 6 News is hiring a competitive, high-accountability Director of Sales to lead our sales organization across television and digital platforms. This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who owns results, brings bold ideas, develops talent, and knows how to win in-market. Duties\/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:<\/p>\n

Key responsibilities:
\n\u2022 Lead sales strategy and execution to deliver sustained revenue growth across broadcast + digital
\n\u2022 Create and maintain a high-performance sales culture with clear standards and accountability
\n\u2022 Develop Birmingham market expertise and turn it into winning revenue initiatives
\n\u2022 Understand and manage political sales
\n\u2022 Manage and price inventory; forecast revenue; deliver reports as requested by the General Manager
\n\u2022 Build and achieve budgets; provide accurate, timely forecasts
\n\u2022 Strengthen relationships with key clients, agencies, and community partners
\n\u2022 Join the team on face-to-face sales calls weekly
\n\u2022 Coach and develop Media Executives and Sales Managers; recruit and onboard new talent
\n\u2022 Use audience measurement tools to deliver insights and effective client solutions
\n\u2022 Partner across departments to hit company and client goals<\/p>\n
Qualifications\/Requirements:<\/p>\n
\u2022 Proven leadership track record driving broadcast and\/or digital ad sales growth
\n\u2022 Strong negotiator and closer; builds long-term relationships and repeat business
\n\u2022 Highly organized with attention to detail and strong follow-through
\n\u2022 Experience with WideOrbit, Matrix, and Microsoft Office preferred
\n\u2022 College degree or equivalent experience (5+ years in sales leadership) needed
\n\u2022 Must meet Gray driving requirements and have a valid driver\u2019s license<\/p>\n
