The Digital Producer\/OBS\/VMIX Specialist leads the transition from broadcast focused newsrooms to multi-platform newsrooms by creating\/editing original content beyond that which is produced for on-air. Support live television and streaming productions through OBS Studio development, and user training.<\/p>\n
Expert understanding of Facebook, Twitter, and other social media platforms
\nWrites stories for the web and other digital platforms
\nReviews copy and will correct errors in content, grammar, and punctuation, following prescribed editorial style and formatting guidelines
\nBuild and configure scenes, source routing within OBS\/VMIX.
\nDevelop and maintain OBS\/VMIX Studio scene collections for users.
\nProgram and maintain Stream Deck controller to integrate with OBS\/VMIX operations.
\nOperate OBS and\/or VMIX during live news broadcasts daily.
\nComfortable with some live television interaction with anchors during morning\/noon newscasts.
\nTrain staff on basic and advanced OBS\/VMIX functions, including scene creation, source management, profile settings and hardware operation.
\nPrepare OBS\/ VMIX for live productions, ensuring equipment is operational and ready for air.
\nSupport live broadcasts throughout the production\/ENPS rundown.
\nCoordinate with Executive Producers, Anchors and Engineering staff to ensure smooth execution of broadcasts.
\nTroubleshoot OBS\/VMIX, Stream Deck, and related production equipment issues.
\nEnsures that all content meets company standards for journalistic integrity and production quality
\nPerforms other duties as assigned
\nRequirements & Skills:<\/p>\n
Degree in journalism; daily newspaper or news site experience required; live, working web samples and\/or print pages preferred
\nExperience with OBS Studio and Stream Deck programming.
\nKnowledge of live television production and studio operations.
\nStrong troubleshooting, communication, and training skills.
\nAbility to work effectively in fast-paced live production environment.
\nProficiency in Associated Press style, Adobe Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and Basic HTML preferred
\nCSS, Flash and other relevant technology skills is a plus
