Job Summary\/Description:
\nWALA\/FOX10, the Gulf Coast\u2019s leading news station, is looking for an energetic
\nMultimedia Journalist to join our Mobile\/Pensacola newsroom. We need a journalist
\nwho follows the news closely, develops strong hard-news leads, and brings forward
\noriginal story ideas\u2014not just the day\u2019s press releases. The right candidate is a clear
\ncommunicator, skilled visual storyteller, and comfortable creating for social platforms.
\nThis role is for someone who is willing to request public records, review documents
\nand meeting agendas, and uncover stories that matter to the communities we serve.
\nYou will identify, pitch, report, shoot, write, edit, and publish compelling stories,
\nincluding daily live shots. The successful candidate will be organized, motivated,
\ncreative, and an active digital content creator.<\/p>\n
Duties\/Responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
\n\u2022 Deliver live reports each day for multiple newscasts
\n\u2022 Shoot, write, edit, and publish stories across platforms
\n\u2022 Produce accurate, engaging work on tight deadlines<\/p>\n
Qualifications\/Requirements:
\n\u2022 Strong broadcast and digital writing skills
\n\u2022 Bachelor\u2019s degree in broadcast journalism or a related field
\n\u2022 Proven ability to work independently and take initiative
\n\u2022 Familiarity with modern television news equipment, content-management systems,
\nPand social media platforms
\n\u2022 A link to a current resume reel is required
\n\u2022 Must meet the requirements of a motor-vehicle-record check.<\/p>\n
