\nPrimary responsibilities include anchoring weekend newscasts, producing select weekend newscasts and reporting on weekdays. Strong writing, shooting and editing skills are essential for this position. Knowledge of Panasonic P2 cameras, Edius, Sonic Foundry Vegas and INews is also a plus.
\nWTVY covers counties in three states; Alabama, Florida and Georgia. Our primary DMA is in Southeast Alabama. WTVY is the established market leader in Dothan. We have a live truck, a satellite truck, multiple backpack live units and three bureaus. WTVY produces more than 28 hours of live news per week. One year of commercial experience preferred.
\nA Bachelor\u2019s degree in Journalism, Communication or related field, a minimum of one year of experience as a Multi-Media Journalist (MMJ) at a commercial television station. Our candidate must have strong on-camera reporting skills and a reel to prove it.
