WDHN in the Dothan, AL market is seeking a Creative Services Manager. We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented individual with outstanding creativity. The Creative Services Director oversees the creative and works with other station departments and personnel to create and develop advertising product for clients and promotional product for the station.<\/span><\/p>\n

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022Works with Sales Department personnel to make sure that client needs are being met.<\/span>
\n \u2022Manages all aspects of commercial production based on the client’s plans, conceptualizes those ideas, ensuring that they meet or exceed the client’s success criteria.<\/span>
\n \u2022Works with Sales Department personnel for writing, editing, and shooting of spots.<\/span>
\n \u2022Performs other duties for News department such as operating the live truck during live shots.<\/span>
\n \u2022Writes, edits and shoots video for commercial and promotional efforts.<\/span>
\n \u2022Assists in Master Control daily operations.<\/span>
\n \u2022Performs other duties as assigned.<\/span>
\n \u2022Works with News Department to create daily station promos.<\/span>
\n \u2022Familiar with Adobe, Premier Pro & After Effects for editing commercial spots.<\/span><\/p>\n

Requirements & Skills:<\/span>
\n \u2022Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising or Mass Communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work related experience.<\/span>
\n \u2022Fluency in English.<\/span>
\n \u2022Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.<\/span>
\n \u2022Minimum five years’ experience in creative media production, with at least two years’ experience in a leadership role.<\/span>
\n \u2022Experience guiding, directing and motivating subordinates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance.<\/span>
\n \u2022Experience establishing long-range objectives and specifying the strategies and actions to achieve them.<\/span>
\n \u2022Ability to identify the developmental needs of others and to coach, mentor or otherwise help others to improve their knowledge or skills.<\/span>
\n \u2022Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines and other office equipment.<\/span>
\n \u2022Proficiency with video recording and editing equipment.<\/span>
\n \u2022Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.<\/span>
\n \u2022Ability to effectively listen to fully understand a client’s needs and communicate with a team to shape a solution.<\/span><\/p>\n

Physical Demands and Work Environment:<\/span><\/p>\n

The Creative Services Manager must be able to sit, conduct telephone conversations, use electronic mail, write letters and memos, conduct face-to-face discussions with individuals or groups, make decisions without supervision, make decisions that impact the results of co-workers, work in close proximity to others, work outdoors in all weather conditions, and work indoors in environmentally controlled conditions. In addition, the Creative Services Manager must be able to lift, set up and operate equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.<\/span><\/p>\n
