We are actively searching for an energetic, highly motivated Broadcast Engineer to enhance our exceptional engineering team. The ideal applicant must be able to work independently, under strict deadlines.<\/p>\n
Job Description:
\nInstalls and maintains complex broadcast television systems
\nEnsures integrity of the on-air broadcast signal through the installation & repair of equipment & systems
\nPerforms routine preventive maintenance of facility equipment
\nProvides written operational instructions for newly installed equipment and systems
\nWorks closely with the Chief Engineer to maintain system drawings
\nWorks with all departments to develop operational work flows and to fulfill technical requirements
\nInstalls and updates file based systems
\nPerforms other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Chief Engineer<\/p>\n
Skills (essential and preferred)
\nMinimum 5-7 years as maintenance engineer in a broadcast television environment
\nDemonstrated understanding of newsroom systems (ENPS)
\nFile based workflows
\nExperience with computer networking in a broadcast environment
\nTelevision automation systems such as Ross Overdrive and Crispin
\nMicrowave and Satellite associated equipment
\nFile conversion equipment\/software (Carbon Coder and Elemental)
\nMaster routers and switching systems
\nBonded Cell systems (TVU)
\nMust be able to work any shift in a 24\/7 operation and be able to be on-call
\nValid Drivers License — Be able to lift 50lbs<\/p>\n
Education (essential and preferred)
\nAn associate degree or higher in electronics, Broadcast Technology or related course study
\nor equivalent military experience desired
\nA minimum of 5-7 years maintaining and installing broadcast equipment
