JOB TITLE: Traffic Assistant
\nREPORTS TO: Director of Programming
\nDEPARTMENT: Programming Traffic
\nLOCATION: Birmingham, AL
\nFLSA STATUS\/TYPE: Full Time Non-exempt<\/p>\n
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:<\/p>\n
The Traffic Assistant operates computer proficiently to create a log for use by On Air Operations. Coordinates various sources of information in a professional manner, with attention to detail to create and maintain the programming log.<\/p>\n
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
\n\u2022Scheduling of Program episodes, events, and interstitials.<\/p>\n
\u2022Insure database has all pertinent information for scheduling and Viewer Response, if applicable, maintain database.<\/p>\n
\u2022Coordinates scheduling information with Web Services.<\/p>\n
\u2022Address and solve problems, which result from miscommunication, error damage, or loss.<\/p>\n
\u2022Coordinates closely with Programming Department to ensure the completion of any last minute changes as well as assuring those changes properly handled.<\/p>\n
\u2022Print reports; handle inquiries about specific episodes or programs.<\/p>\n
\u2022Ability to work flexible schedule.<\/p>\n
\u2022Additional duties as assigned.<\/p>\n
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
\n\u2022Minimum 2-3 years\u2019 experience in broadcast\/cable TV production\/programming<\/p>\n
\u2022Strong computer software experience including, but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite.<\/p>\n
\u2022Demonstrated understanding of the Catholic Faith, liturgical year and EWTN\u2019s mission<\/p>\n
\u2022Strong attention to detail and follow through<\/p>\n
\u2022Efficient in time management; ability to prioritize and meet strict deadlines.<\/p>\n
\u2022Technical knowledge and competences.<\/p>\n
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
\n\u2022Bachelor\u2019s degree in Communications, Broadcasting or equivalent experience.<\/p>\n
