Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
\n* Evaluate news leads and tips
\nto develop story ideas. Gather and verify accurate information regarding
\narticles through interviews, remark as well as research.
\n* Build network of
\nsources who supply information that allows the Company to stay ahead of its
\ncompetitors.
\n* Present compelling, clear, creative and accurate live shots.<\/p>\n
* Organize material and write articles based on the details and information
\nobtained.
\n* Use various social platforms to give updates as well as news
\nstories to the public.<\/p>\n
Specialized Knowledge\/Skills\/Abilities:
\n* Solid vocal delivery, camera
\npresence, and clear enunciation.
\n* Strong reporting skills.
\n* Understand
\nimportance of social media.
\n* Excellent reading, writing, spelling, grammar
\nand organizational skills.
\n* Promotes teamwork and maintains attitude of
\ncooperation with all station personnel.<\/p>\n
Education\/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Communication\/Journalism or
\nrelated degree required (equivalent years of experience may substitute for
\neducation); plus (3) years television anchoring or reporting experience
\nrequired.<\/p>\n
Training\/Equipment: Operate newsroom computer systems.<\/p>\n
Work Environment\/Physical Requirements: High stress environment with
\ndeadline pressures. Some travel will be required. Position requires work on
\nweekends and holidays.<\/p>\n
