Technical Media Director<\/p>\n
WTVY-TV News 4, the CBS affiliate and dominant number one station in Southeast Alabama is looking for a Technical Media Director (formerly titled Production Assistant).<\/p>\n
The position has multiple roles. This person will direct one of our newscasts. WTVY is automated, therefore the director is required to code a newscast, do any pre-production work needed (building graphics) for the show that he\/she is working on.<\/p>\n
The second part of the job will be running Master Control, helping with segmenting syndicated show\/commercials to air at a later time, running live commercial breaks and learning our Traffic Management duties.<\/p>\n
This person will need to be detail oriented, a self-starter, able to work well under deadlines and work well with others. Good written and verbal communication skills required, as is vast computer knowledge and a general understanding of technology. Experience with Ross OverDrive, VizRT, and Adobe creative suite is a plus, as is experience in a broadcast news environment.
