Join us for a webinar on September 9th at 1:00 PM Central (free for ABA members, $50 for non-members.)
2016 is just around the corner – and that means another election year is nearly upon broadcasters. Even though primary and general elections are months away, broadcasters can expect political advertising questions to crop up long before any election voting dates. NOW is the time for broadcasters to focus on getting ready for the upcoming crunch of candidate and issue advertising.
The webinar will provide a refresher course on the ins and outs of the political broadcasting rules, including recent developments as well as the basic elements: who is entitled to demand political advertising time, what stations may charge for that time, and what record-keeping requirements apply. The webinar presenters will also discuss the impact of court decisions on the FCC’s political rules.
Organized by Fletcher Heald & Hildreth, the webinar will feature Bobby Baker, head of the FCC’s political programming staff.Bobby is animated and fun as he imparts critical compliance information you need. As you will remember, Bobby has come to our state several times with Scott Johnson to present in-person programs. Scott, Harry Cole and Dan Kirkpatrick of Fletcher, Heald & Hildreth will add their thoughts to those of Bobby on the subjects covered.
