We wanted to give you a personal invitation to our special seminar focusing on “Understanding ATSC 3.0”. This next generation of television broadcasting is on a fast track in 2017 and we will offer a full day seminar Thursday March 9th, 2017.
Our special presenters for this event are : Rich Chernock and Joe Seccia.

Triveni Digital
Dr. Chernock is currently Chief Science Officer at Triveni Digital. Previously, he was a Research Staff Member at IBM Research, investigating digital broadcast technologies.
Dr. Chernock is chairman of the ATSC Technology Group on ATSC 3.0 (TG3) and chairs the AHG on service delivery and synchronization for ATSC 3.0. He was previously chairman of the ATSC Technology and Standards Group (TG1). He is also the Distinguished Lecturer Chair for IEEE BTS.

GatesAir
Along with Rich we will also have Joe Seccia Manager, TV Transmission Market and Product Development Strategy with GatesAir, manufacture of transmission equipment for the new service.
Joe has been a key part of GatesAir’s digital television development beginning in 1995, most recently leading GatesAir’s technology evolutions in software configurable exciters that support all popular worldwide DTV standards as well as high efficiency transmitter platforms.

This seminar will “Look Under the Hood” at ATSC 3.0 to better help local engineers understand the following:

to understand in making the change.

concerning the new “next generation” television.
4. Educating station personnel (production, sales,
program and don’t forget management)
5. Equipment needs and availability
6. Long term engineering requirements concerning
programming and troubleshooting (including
different test equipment).
7. ATSC 3.0 and re-pack timetables.
The ATSC 3.0 seminar will be offered at no charge and will be held at the ABA Training Center 2180 Parkway Lake Drive Hoover, AL from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM. Lunch will be provided.
