ALABAMA BROADCASTERS ASSOCIATION PRESENTS THE 20TH ANNUAL ABBY AWARDS®
In the organization’s 80th year, the Alabama Broadcasters Association celebrated their 20th Annual Alabama’s Best in Broadcasting®, otherwise known as the ABBY Awards®, Saturday, April 11th at The Club in Birmingham, Alabama. Over the last two decades, the Association has presented 1,351 ABBY awards.
This year, over 300 radio and television broadcasters represented stations from across the state as colleagues and competitors collected statues. WXFL-FM of Florence was named the 2026 “Radio Station of the Year.” WAFF 48 of Huntsville was named “Television Station of the Year.”
Judging took place in February with a total of 12 radio and television professionals reviewing entries in person over two full days at an out-of-state location. These panelists’ reviews resulted in the following ABBY Awards and Judges’ Awards of Merit.
