Hobbies include radio, kayaking, radio, hiking, radio, camping, radio, fishing, radio, hunting, radio, scuba diving, radio and wine making.
Activities never to be repeated include taking listeners on a real live Ghost Hunt, conducting a Hands-On Car Giveaway, riding a bull in a rodeo (for the most terrifying two and one half seconds of my life) and allowing a listener to confess to murder in the middle of a morning show.
Biggest Potential FCC Violation: Probably when friends and I would sneak back into WANL AM in Lineville well after dark, sign the station back on and rebroadcast WLS from Chicago so we could ride the back roads of Clay County listening to rock and roll.
Biggest Regret: Not getting around to telling the sizable army of remarkably tolerant and talented mentors that I have been so blessed to know how much I really appreciate their guidance.
People I wish I had met: Joe Rumore (WVOK, Birmingham), John “Records” Landecker and Paul Harvey.
Philosophy: Enjoy life everyday and try to leave everything a little bit better than you found it.
A resident of Ohatchee for the past 22 years, Tommy is the father of one son and one daughter.
