Job Description:
Wideorbit is looking for solid developers to work on our WO Media Sales and WO Media CRM product as well as brand new product lines. Our WO Media Sales product is used by 80% of all TV stations to prepare avails, proposals, and orders. Every developer is a critical part of the design and implementation of a world class product at WideOrbit. Twelve years ago people thought we were crazy to start WO Traffic and now 70% of all television spot advertising inventory is done though our system! This is Industrial Strength Programming – performance critical application development with a 3-tier, high-availability, high-volume, distributed architecture. Your project would be to help expand our WO Media Sales product for use at radio stations.
Skills/Qualifications:
•5+ years’ experience in overall software development
•3+ years of experience in Delphi
•SQL, 3+ years required
•Radio Broadcast Industry knowledge preferred
•Knowledge of Arbitron and/or BBM datasets preferred
•Understand 3-tier architecture, OOA & OOD
•Good algorithmic skills and experience applying design patterns to both new and existing code
•Knowledge of Firebird 1.5 RDBMS
•Experience with MS SQL Server 2000
•Experience working with clients in design, development, testing and integration
•Excellent communication skills
•Great personality with a “Take Charge” attitude
•Willingness to thoroughly unit test and debug complex code that you, or others, may write.
•Experience with other programming tools, languages and protocols a plus
