Job Summary: The TV Producer, writes and coordinates the production of at least one live daily newscast for WVUA television. Responsible for all newscast content, he/she must write scripts in broadcast format as determined by industry standards and match them with appropriate video.
Communicates clearly with various staff members in both the news and production departments. Anchors one newscast per day (5 days weekly).

Required Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent and 5 years of experience, or a Vocational/Technical/Trade School and 4 years of experience, or an Associate’s Degree and 3 years of experience, or a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Communication, Telecommunication and Film, Journalism or related field and one (1) year of news producing and anchoring experience. Must have exemplary on-air presentation skills to include excellent verbal communication and interviewing skills. May work in inclement weather. Valid U.S. driver’s license required. Must be at least 21 years of age and have an acceptable motor vehicle report as determined by the insurance carrier.
