WKRG News 5, a dominant Media General owned CBS affiliate in Mobile/Pensacola, market 59, is looking for a Weekend Weather Anchor/Meteorologist/Reporter. This position is responsible for producing weather reports for on-air presentation using various sophisticated weather systems. This position also requires regular news reporting contributions involving shooting video, editing video, writing and multiple on-air reporting skills. Formal education equivalent to a BS degree in Meteorology, Earth Sciences, or related field is required. Related experience will be evaluated by Company management and may be substituted on the basis of one year of experience equals one year of education. An online audition ‘reel’ is required for this application. Strong communication skills and understanding of computer graphics. Ability to maintain professional personal appearance. Must have a good driving record and a valid driver’s license.
