Details:
WIAT-TV CBS42 is searching for an Investigative Reporter who is driven to seek honest, relevant, compelling enterprise stories. The ideal candidate will be relentless in the pursuit of the truth. A proven track record of strong journalistic skills and supreme ethical standards is a must. The successful applicant will understand how to generate sources and will bring lead stories to the newsroom. Stories will require a high production value. This position requires multitasking through multiple investigations at any given time. Proficiency in newsroom computer systems (iNews/ ENPS) is a must. Knowledge of Panasonic cameras and AVID editing equipment helpful. Ability to data mine, properly fill out freedom of information acts and navigate through various government entities is a must. Job entails moderate to high stress and deadline pressure, while keeping a strong attention to detail. Candidates must be able to occasionally shoot and edit material.
