Master Control Operator – Job Responsibilities: monitor, operate and troubleshoot on-air SD and HD video and audio signals, automation systems, and graphic insertions for multiple channels, monitor and maintain daily playlists for multiple channels, interact with and provide service to the marketing and traffic departments of multiple stations, ability to function as an Assistant Director for live shows and live cut-ins, reporting of shift status, technical discrepancies and all operational problems/issues, additional duties as needed and assigned by supervisor, and willing to learn new technologies. Qualifications/Experience Required: minimum two years previous network/master control experience, experience switching of live events is preferred, experience in a server-based broadcast operation, ability to perform basic troubleshooting of both standard and high-definition broadcast video and audio signals, knowledge of Harris and Crispin automation and video file server technology a plus, must be able to work under pressure and as a member of a team, willing to work all shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, excellent interpersonal skills, operate SD & HD: digital master control switcher and routing switchers, VTRs, waveform monitor, and vectorscope, and must have experience and understanding of signal chains, video & audio levels and be able to troubleshoot as necessary.
