JOB TITLE:Producer

WSFA 12 News in Montgomery, Alabama seeks a highly creative and highly motivated Producer to help take newscasts to the next level. Most every newscast on WSFA 12 News ranks nationally for most watched over all NBC affiliates. We are looking for candidates with experience as a line producer in a competitive news market, including working with anchors, LIVE reporters, and directors. Candidate must be a great writer and communicator, and should have natural leadership skills. This will be a weekend producing position – working three evenings a week. Candidate must be able to sift through complicated issues and provide clarity to viewers and web users. Candidate will be required to post stories to the station web site. New content and BREAKING NEWS must be pushed and injected each newscast pushing URGENCY & IMPACT. Experience with ENPS a plus. Experience producing special reports and breaking news a plus. College degree in journalism or related experience preferred. Must be able to work extra hours, weekends, holidays, etc. Must have a valid driver license.
