WKRN-TV is looking for a Weekend Evening Anchor / Weekday Reporter who has a passion for telling stories. The ideal candidate should enjoy reporting as much as anchoring and be able to bring that passion and energy to the anchor desk. Our next anchor/reporter will be strong at enterprising stories, be able to write conversationally, and execute lively live shots. This person needs to be a newsroom leader who works collaboratively with the producers and reporters to create compelling newscasts. The successful candidate will also be strong with social media and digital content development. Candidate should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as strong analytical and organizational abilities.

Experience:
BS degree in Journalism with a minimum of 3 years’ on-air experience or training.
Requirements:
Candidate must understand terminology, principal, and theory applicable to task; be able to demonstrate knowledge of issues and equipment specific to industry; be able to operate a news video camera, computer, editing technology; type accurate copy from rough drafts; cultivate sources, stories, and gather news; maintain attention to detail. Candidate should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as strong analytical and organizational abilities. Must also be able to develop, implement, and monitor news gathering system and planning components.
