Multimedia Journalist – WTOK, Meridian MS

Multimedia Journalist in our soon to be launched Neshoba County, MS News Bureau.
Candidates should be possess excellent writing, reporting, shooting and editing skills. Applicant must be self-motivated, aggressive in finding and follow through on important, relevant stories from the assigned area, maintain flexible hours and able to work independently with limited direct supervision. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, filing stories for air on television, posting stories to digital platforms and social media for our owned sites and those of a partner radio station. This position also requires regular appearances on partner radio stations to promote stories being covered. Employee will be required to live in Neshoba County.

Technical Director Part Time – WTOK, Meridian MS

This position will be responsible for Directing and Technical Directing newscasts and other programs as assigned. WTOK is the dominant station in the Meridian, MS DMA and produces over 3 hours of live local high definition newscast per day. Experience with Ross Synergy HD switcher, VizRT Graphics, and Avid INews helpful, but not required. In addition to directing newscast, the position is also responsible for ingesting commercials, programs and promos into the station program playback servers plus other duties as assigned.
Successful candidates should be familiar with live newscast production in a commercial television station and able to direct a fast paced newscast while providing direction to the supporting staff.
Candidate must be able to work nights, early mornings or weekends as assigned. Previous experience in directing live programming is preferred.
