We are actively searching for an energetic, highly motivated Broadcast Engineer to enhance our exceptional engineering team. The ideal applicant must be able to work independently, under strict deadlines.

Job Description:
Installs and maintains complex broadcast television systems
Ensures integrity of the on-air broadcast signal through the installation & repair of equipment & systems
Performs routine preventive maintenance of facility equipment
Provides written operational instructions for newly installed equipment and systems
Works closely with the Chief Engineer to maintain system drawings
Works with all departments to develop operational work flows and to fulfill technical requirements
Installs and updates file based systems
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Chief Engineer

Skills (essential and preferred)
Minimum 5-7 years as maintenance engineer in a broadcast television environment
Demonstrated understanding of newsroom systems (ENPS)
File based workflows
Experience with computer networking in a broadcast environment
Television automation systems such as Ross Overdrive and Crispin
Microwave and Satellite associated equipment
File conversion equipment/software (Carbon Coder and Elemental)

transport of equipment weighing up to 60 lbs. High stress environment with
deadline pressures. Travel will be required on a regular basis. Work may be
performed in extreme outdoor temperatures. A valid driver’s license and an
acceptable driving record are required.
