Job Description:
WideOrbit is seeking a Business Analyst to join our dynamic sales software product – WO Media Sales. In this role, the BA will work on the entire project lifecycle from requirements definition to writing detailed specs, as well as business use cases, workflows and some QA testing. As an important project team member, you will be expected to be detail oriented, goal driven and be able to communicate effectively with both internal and external resources.

If you’ve had experience in the radio industry, understand ratings and how sales work within a radio station AND have worked in the software industry, this could be a great fit for you!

Here’s what you’ll be doing:
•Take direction and ownership of individual project goals and timelines
•Gather and clearly document requirements, business cases, workflows for new product features
•Prepare specification documents for various functional areas – making business processes into features for software
•Communicate and document requirements for managers, team members and development resources
•Collaborate with development resources on the lifecycle of new features
•Guide multiple projects and tasks concurrently, while effectively managing change of scope or timelines
•Assist QA staff in testing new or changed features

Here what we’re looking for:
•3+ years of experience in the radio industry with focus on sales, research, and proposals is a MUST.
•Knowledge of systems implementation and software development lifecycle is preferred but not required.
•1+ year of experience in technical writing, business analysis, project management, and/or QA.
•Ability to collaborate with clients, internal staff and teams.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•Strong analytical and technical skills.
•Positive entrepreneurial attitude.

Location:
This position will be based in our Birmingham, Alabama office.
