MARKETING, BROADCAST AND VIDEO COORDINATOR

University of West Alabama Athletics Marketing, Broadcast and Video Coordinator
Part Time and/or Graduate Assistant

Job Summary:
Under the Direction of the Associate Athletic Director for Communications this position is responsible for providing a positive, efficient and effective experience to the fans/followers of University of West Alabama Athletics. The Athletics Marketing, Broadcast and Video Coordinator will be responsible for assisting in creating and executing UWA Athletic Department radio broadcasts (including the weekly Coaches Show and Football Pre-Game Show) with the exception of baseball play by play. This person would also coordinate and produce video productions such as game promotions, highlighting student-athlete accomplishments, event highlights, assisting with live streaming of all athletic events, games and matches and providing B-Roll and sound to local television stations. Other duties as assigned by the Associate AD for Communications.

Required Education and Experience:
Minimum Educational Requirements
•Bachelor’s Degree
Preferred Education and Experience:
•Degree in Communications or Integrated Marketing/Communications
•Experience in Radio and/or Television Broadcast
Qualifications:
•Effective organizational and time management skills.
•Must have experience in hosting a coaches show.
•Effective communication skills
•Experience in an athletic department setting.
Duties Performed:
•Radio broadcast opportunities depending on experience
•Athletic marketing and promotion opportunities depending on experience
•Support the Associate Athletic Director of Athletic Communications in all areas of responsibilities.
•Coordinate the production of all live streaming game video and athletics shows.
•Produce original content for special projects showcasing student-athletes and coaches
•Serve as an assigned sports liaison for all news related to athletics
•Ability to interview department of athletics staff, coaches and student-athletes for video and radio production.
•This job description shall include, but is not necessarily limited to the above duties. May temporarily perform other duties assigned to maintain operations and services.
Compensation
Monthly stipend; part time, no benefits, possible graduate tuition assistance

The Alabama Broadcasters Association is pleased to announce our first SALES TRAINING ACADEMY, a series of continuing education opportunities throughout the year.The Academy will offer a variety of webinars and face-to-face meetings. Check the Academy calendar below and make plans to to take advantage of these great resources.

The Alabama Broadcasters Association annual conference will be held Friday and Saturday, August 19 and 20, at the Hyatt Regency in Hoover. We plan to offer a variety of sales training sessions on both days. Details and registration information will be available in May.
