This person will produce NPR-style news stories and features on issues of local and regional interest. Technical Director Part Time – WTOK, Meridian MS

This position will be responsible for Directing and Technical Directing newscasts and other programs as assigned. WTOK is the dominant station in the Meridian, MS DMA and produces over 3 hours of live local high definition newscast per day. Experience with Ross Synergy HD switcher, VizRT Graphics, and Avid INews helpful, but not required. In addition to directing newscast, the position is also responsible for ingesting commercials, programs and promos into the station program playback servers plus other duties as assigned.
Successful candidates should be familiar with live newscast production in a commercial television station and able to direct a fast paced newscast while providing direction to the supporting staff.
Candidate must be able to work nights, early mornings or weekends as assigned. Previous experience in directing live programming is preferred.
