JOB TITLE: Digital Content Manager

WSFA 12 News, Alabama’s News Source for central and south Alabama & dominant number one TV station in Montgomery, AL, is searching for a Digital Content Manager to lead the station’s digital efforts across all social media platforms. This key position will help develop broad social media and digital strategies and will create and oversee a daily social media plan at the flagship television station for Raycom Media based in Montgomery. As the leader of the digital team, this position works with the News, Marketing & Sales departments to coordinate and oversee daily social content. Growing our news and weather APPS are critical along with the OTT APP that will launch shortly. Growing page views, unique visitors and increasing engagement are part of this very important position. This position manages a digital team of at least 4 people. Plus, will oversee a digital footprint that is ranked in the top 10 in every measurable digital category inside Raycom Media. The successful applicant will have at least 4 years of experience working with digital & social media in a broadcast media/newsroom setting and will be extremely well-versed in the mechanics of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, and Snapchat. Must be a great communicator, great managing people, organized, and have excellent writing skills. College degree required – Journalism/English degrees are preferred.
