Alabama Public Television (APT) is seeking one full-time and one part-time (up to 20 hours per week) Education Training Specialist to work in APT’s education division. These individuals will work as part of a team to develop & deliver on-site & online quality training, resources & technical assistance to teachers, early learning, after-school providers & parents.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in early childhood, child development, child life or related field; master’s degree preferred. Recent (within the past 5 years) experience related to early childhood development and/or early literacy, 3 years’ experience working in a preschool, kindergarten, primary grades and/or formal or informal after-school programs preferred. Strong oral & written communication skills, strong computer & technology skills, experience developing educational materials & delivery in an online environment preferred. Fluency in Spanish preferred. The position involves in-state travel, some evening & weekend work & some lifting of training materials. A valid Alabama driver’s license is required.
