On Tuesday August 18 there will be a special RF-Seminar featuring Tom Silliman, President and CEO of Electronics Research, Inc.  He  will review the current FCC and OSHA requirements related to RF Safety at broadcast transmitter facilities. Its purpose is to provide broadcast station Engineering Managers and Station Managers with an understanding of regulation covering Maximum Permissible Exposure Limits, provide guidance in developing RF Safety Awareness documentation and verbal instruction scripts to make employees and contractors fully aware of the potential for exposure to radio frequency electromagnetic fields.

The ABA Engineering Academy will hold a special one-day seminar covering HDTV and ATSC 3.  Seminar will be held at ABA Training Center in Hoover 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM.  The seminar is free and you can register online.

The FCC will hold a special free workshop to promote wider used of the Emergency Alert System.  The workshop will be streamed live from 1 PM – 4:30 PM Eastern time.  It can be accessed at www.fcc.gov/live.
