WHNT NEWS 19 is looking for a PM Graphic Artist

WHNT NEWS 19, a Tribune Media Broadcast station, is pursuing an energetic, talented artist who works well independently and with a team. The position is entry level and requires Adobe Photoshop skill and the ability to adapt to new technology.

The right candidate will be able to work in an extremely high-pressure & fast-paced environment with live television deadlines. It is critical that the PM Graphic Artist be friendly and work well with others. An understanding of television news is a plus.

The right candidate must possess an understanding of design principles and color theory. They must also be a self-starter who’s a great communicator both in design and the real world. This position is responsible for creating news graphics, collateral and interactive creative for news, special projects and clients using Vizrt, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, Final Cut Pro, and more. The ability to multitask and manage a diverse workload is a must.

Qualifications:
•Must be exceptional with Photoshop
•Design and conceptual skills
•Knowledge of 2D and 3D design principles
•Communicate and offer daily creative design ideas and solutions for News, Creative Services and Sales
•Assist and/or design graphics, animations, collateral and interactive creative for station properties and clients
•Must be able to work independently or with a team
•Possess good time management skills and meet tight project deadlines
•Ability to handle multiple projects and to make adjustments to meet unexpected changes to projects or deadlines
•Self-motivated and takes initiative
•A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment
•Flexible with work schedule
•Values an organized work flow
•Web design/coding experience is a plus
