WEAC-TV24 (Oxford, AL) is looking for a Lead Producer for our 9:00 p.m. newscast. The qualified candidate must have excellent writing skills; and some experience in writing for TV news is preferred. Must be able to identify possible news stories and how they are important and relevant to our viewers. Must be able to take a large amount of information and quickly cull it down to the its most important parts and make a cohesive, understandable story out of it. Develop leads, follow leads and develop contacts and sources within the community. You must also have an understanding of social media and websites and understand and utilize these electronic forms of media in the presentation of news.
