Marketing Director – CCME, Birmingham,

CCME Birmingham, Alabama is looking for a marketing director for its dynamic eight (8) station cluster!

This position is responsible for developing and executing strategic and tactical plans in support of the programming and revenue objectives of the stations in the cluster. The candidate should be a self-starter, be highly organized, handle multiple tasks at the same time and operate successfully in a fast paced, team-oriented environment.

Marketing Director will report directly to Operations Manager, oversee a part-time promotions staff and will keep normal business hours of 8:30am to 5:30pm, Monday through Friday, unless night or weekend events are scheduled when required to attend.

Required Skills:

•Creation and implementation of promotions, contests and events that achieve ratings and revenue success.
•Scheduling and coordinating promotions staff for on-site remotes and events.
•Set station strategy for building brand awareness using trade agreements and partnerships with local media and community events.
•Update and keep overall promotions and events calendar.
•Preparation of equipment and promotional materials for remotes and events.
•Maintenance of promotional equipment and vehicles.
•Keeping inventory and planning distribution of all prizes.
•Working with staff to maintain prize database.
•Communication with web design staff for all online content regarding promotions, contests and events.
•Act as compliance officer with regards to all contests (ie: rules implementation, contest winners paperwork, and risk management).
•Preparation of promotional requests and proposals.
•Coordinating all street-level promotions and appearances.
•Must possess excellent customer service skills with the ability to grasp extensive knowledge while dealing with a variety of people.
•Must have strong organizational and time management skills.
•Must be detail oriented.
•Be able to present one’s self in a highly cooperative and professional manner when meeting both internal and external customers and vendors face to face.
•Must have working knowledge of Windows operating system and be proficient in Microsoft software applications (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.).
•Ability to think things through and develop processes that contribute to enhanced organizational efficiency.
•Work closely with sales department to prepare ideas and concept artwork for sales pitches
•Discuss objectives, make revisions and manage assigned projects through to delivery
•Help with set-up of remote equipment when needed.
•Other duties as assigned or requested
•Would be great if candidate can also voice track on an as needed basis but not a necessary requirement.

Required Experience:
•Minimum 3 years’ experience in broadcast marketing or related field, and event planning.
•Knowledge of all FCC rules and regulations related to broadcast marketing.
