Alabama Public Television (APT) is seeking an intermediate level multimedia designer/producer to join our diverse, team-oriented agency. This position is responsible for designing and building animated objects, online video tutorials, flash movies and HTML5 interactive simulations to support curricular, promotional and academic needs.
This position serves as the bridge between creativity and technology and plays an essential role, often guiding the development of ideas in the pre-design phase. The individual typically works on multiple projects concurrently and will be involved in all phases of creative development. The position will also assist, mentor, and train other employees in the processes and procedures of developmental tasks as necessary.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in multi-media arts, digital media, communications, advertising or a related field, proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite including Dreamweaver, and Captivate, or other popular software to develop multimedia projects, Basic HTML; CSS, Flash and other relevant technology skills, experience in the design, development, and creation of interactive video-based multimedia, video shooting and editing experience using Final Cut Pro, creative storytelling capabilities, strong editing and technical skills, graphic design experience (digital/interactive/web), experience in an educational setting and/or in the production of educational content preferred.
