The Alabama Radio Network Seeks part-time State News Anchor in Birmingham.
Are you ready to join the largest and most well respected radio news team in the state of Alabama? We’re ready for you! The position requires someone who is flexible, versatile and able to constantly work on Saturday mornings and possibly fill-in on some Monday-Friday mornings as well. There are other duties that may also fall under this umbrella, let’s talk about what you can bring to the position and what the position could bring to you. Many of our part time anchors have quickly risen to bigger positions both inside and outside of our organization.
Desired Skills:
You must exercise good news-judgement and copy writing ability.
You should have a professional and natural sounding commercial news delivery style.
You should remain aware of all state and national News.
You should be social media savvy.
You must be quick with Cool-edit (Adobe Audition) and NexGen.
Experience with RCS Newsbuilder is helpful.
You must be able to work independently
You must be reliable and dependable.
