 One of the Poynter Institute sessions this Saturday, August 16 at the 2014 ABA Conference deals with FOIA and the First Amendment. Under discussion will be common public information issues Alabama radio and TV stations face, and present practical tips for how to handle these situations. Meet the Presenters
 Ellyn Angelotti Kamke joined The Poynter Institute in 2007 to help Poynter explore the journalistic values and the legal challenges related to new technologies, especially social media. She also has helped create and develop Poynter’s use of interactive teaching tools like online chats and podcasts.
 Birmingham attorney Darrell Tucker represents construction, insurance, and pharmaceutical and medical device companies in commercial disputes, class actions, and mass tort litigation. Through his litigation experience, Darrell has experience in obtaining records from governmental agencies through the Freedom of Information Act.
