Joshua N. Pila is the General Counsel of Meredith Corporation’s Local Media Group, which includes 17 television stations in 12 large to mid-sized media markets.  Meredith owns WALA-TV (Fox10) in Mobile.

Based in Atlanta, Mr. Pila provides counsel to journalists and business executives on First Amendment, distribution, regulatory, transactional, intellectual property, labor and employment, and public policy matters.

Formerly an in-house counsel for LIN Media and an associate at a large Washington, D.C. communications law firm, Mr. Pila routinely speaks to journalistic and legal audiences on regulatory, intellectual property, and media business topics.

Mr. Pila wears hearing aids, as do his father, sisters, and sons.  He serves as NAB’s representative on the FCC’s Disability Advisory Committee and is Vice President and Board Member for the Georgia Center for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
