Producing and co-hosting our award-winning 35-minute H.S. Football program, Friday Night Football
Producing and hosting our 20-minute college football program, GameNight, on Saturday nights

Online editing includes working on the assembly of major local programs, with focus towards final stages of postproduction. Working with computer graphics software to create still photographs and animated sequences, adding title key effects, and video color correction for visual aesthetics as well as to meet technical specifications of the FCC, PBS and NTSC in creating the highest quality broadcast standards. Editing with Adobe Premiere CC, as well as Final Cut 7 and AVID required. Basic linear tape to tape editing/dubbing maybe be required occasionally. Basic Adobe AfterEffects and Photoshop skills required. Works closely with Producer, Directors, and Art Department personnel in accomplishing production goals. On occasion, may be needed to fill in as Technical Director/switcher or video shading operator (CCU) in the studio or the remote truck. Keeps up to date on the latest HD DTV standards, as well as file formats and codecs. Helps with media management on ProMax SAN and Avid Unity servers as well as producer assigned portable drives. Assists in preparing final master of on-lined shows with post-audio and closed caption departments. Assists in encoding media for mobile and web distribution.

Director/Technical Director – Alabama News Network, Montgomery

The Alabama News Network made up of CBS8, ABC Montgomery, CW Montgomery, MeTV and The Heartland Network produces 30 hours of local news a week and we are looking for an experienced, creative and technically proficient Director/TD. This position requires excellent communication and organizational skills. Must work well under pressure and be capable of executing an error-free newscast production. Essential component is to be an excellent team player and a team leader. Position requires calling and switching multi-camera, graphic intensive newscasts.

Duties: Directing weekday / weekend newscasts and directing personnel in pre-production and execution of show content. Must be able to work mornings, nights, weekends, holidays and overtime as needed. Additionally, position will be responsible for training for certain aspects for all directors for the different shows. This person will be in charge of guiding the production of programs for the station. Direct in-house and remote interview segments both live and live to tape as needed. Act as a liaison between control room staff and engineering dept. on any technical issues relating to the newscast production.

Qualifications: Experience in operation of various broadcast equipment including but not limited to: video switchers, cameras, video servers, and character generators. A general understanding of studio lighting techniques, set creation and studio technical operations.
Proven experience with Ross Vision with Overdrive switcher including knowledge of effects-building, DME’s, macros, file maintenance and frame memory. Experience working with server based playback systems and multi-channel graphic generators.

Duties included setting up audio visual stations throughout the grounds and maintaining those stations throughout the season.  In addition, I ran camera for Closed Circuit Television for events in various arenas during the Houston Live Stock Show and Rodeo, including horse shows, cattle shows, the wine auction and the steer auction. Other duties included script writing, recording and producing in house interview packets for a daily in-house news production called Stampede TV.  I also shot video of participants in the mutton busting competitions and made copies of the races that were, in turn, made available for purchase through the Mutton Busting Committee.  I worked four consecutive seasons.
