MULTIMEDIA JOURNALIST (OKALOOSA CTY) – WKRG

WKRG-TV News 5, the Nexstar CBS television affiliate in the Mobile/Pensacola DMA, seeks a Multimedia Journalist to join our news team in our Okaloosa County, FL Bureau to cover Fort Walton Beach, Destin, and other communities in Northwest Florida.

The Multimedia Journalist will produce, report, shoot, write, voice, edit, feed, and present content for all media platforms in a manner that is clear, engaging, and meaningful to news consumers.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Research/gather/analyze information, interviews, and video to produce accurate, complete, in-depth, relevant, and fair news reports for publication (digital & social media) and broadcast
• Ensure that all content produced meets company standards for journalistic integrity, timeliness, and production quality
• Author strong copy with correct grammar, punctuation, editorial style, and formatting to meet the requirements of each digital, social, and on-air distribution platform

Description:
Gray Digital Media (GDM) in Mobile, AL is looking for a smart and energetic Digital Marketing Coordinator to assist in building multi-platform, digital centric ad campaigns tailored to fit our client’s goals and objectives.

Skills required include strong critical and analytical skills, demonstrate knowledge of digital media marketing across multiple platforms, creativity, and excellent communication skills.

Duties/Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

This position is officially classified as IT Systems Specialist II in the state system but will function as a Field IT Engineer within Alabama Public Television (APT). This position will handle the installation, operation, and maintenance of network and computer software and hardware related to our broadcasting systems. This role involves travel to remote sites and requires a blend of technical expertise and practical problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and install hardware and software for network infrastructure
• Collaborate with Field Engineers on tasks and technical guidance
• Maintain general site maintenance for specific locations (WCIQ – Mt. Cheaha and Bald Rock microwave hop sites)
• Manage and update a comprehensive list of site IP addresses
• Provide 24/7/365 availability for emergency off-air outages related to network
infrastructure
• Work independently, often under time constraints
• Communicate daily with the Director of Engineering about infrastructure status and
needs

Minimum Qualifications

• An Associate’s Degree from an accredited* college or university in Information Technology •Two (2) years of experience in the design, maintenance, or support of IT systems in one or

Our team at WBMA/WTTO/WABM is seeking a Chief Engineer to oversee all engineering functions of the station. A qualified candidate will coordinate or perform maintenance of computer and broadcast equipment of the television broadcasting station.

Oversee all engineering functions of the station, including, planning of future equipment installations, requirements, and budgetary recommendations

Division Director – Membership & Pledge – APT Foundation

The Director of Membership & Pledge will be responsible for sustaining and expanding the membership base and overseeing pledge campaigns for APT as well as our public radio station, WLRH. This role is crucial in building and maintaining strong relationships with our members and donors.

• Oversee all membership fundraising programs and contributions for APT and WLRH,

• Lead and manage the Membership & Pledge team, providing guidance, support, and

• Seek new fundraising opportunities to increase revenue for APT and WLRH.
• Provide monthly donor data to the Contributor Development Partnership (CDP) and

and to Program Services during all pledge drives as representative of APT.
• Work with Development Department to analyze membership records and select best
candidates for Major Gifts and Planned Giving mailings.

Job Summary:
WALA is looking for a Multi-Media Journalist to join the team on our top-rated morning newscast.
We are looking for someone who will dig, develop sources and embrace all aspects of the storytelling process – enterprising, shooting, writing, editing, and presenting on camera. Digital storytelling is a key component of our MMJ duties, so candidates must be skilled in using digital and social tools to enhance stories, gather information, and engage with the audience.
We want someone with a positive attitude, who can ignore distractions and noise, and focus on our objectives: journalism that matters; and, winning.
