DIGITAL CONTENT PRODUCER/ANCHOR – WAFF

JOB SUMMARY: WAFF 48 is looking for a Digital Producer/Digital Anchor. We’re looking for someone passionate about the digital news landscape who can be one of the on-camera faces of our streaming platforms. This is an ideal opportunity for someone passionate about delivering news on camera. The ideal candidate will also write stories for the station’s website and help manage its social media platforms. This position’s weekly schedule will include shifts on Saturday and Sunday. Occasional holiday shifts will be required as well. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Must have strong on-camera skills with the ability to think fast on your feet and react to breaking news situations.

COMMERCIAL PRODUCER | PT – CBS 42

The Commercial Producer will be responsible for the development of cutting-edge commercial spots from concept to completion. Creative scripting, shooting, and non-linear editing experience is a must.

Responsibilities:
Creatively write, shoot, and edit content to tell compelling stories
Collaborate with creative team and project stakeholders to produce videos and digital content that are on-brand and drive results
Coordinate with clients and Account Executives to obtain project assets, scope of work, and creative direction for each project
Maintain a variety of projects and work with varying production styles while employing strong client service skills
Coordinate production, including working with clients, account executives, agencies, as well as planning location(s), talent, music, voice-over and reserving any other technical pieces (camera’s, vehicles, etc.) needed for project
Manage software and equipment storage and upgrade needs in coordination with other Creative Services Department members
Mentor junior commercial producers as needed
Extensive shooting and scripting of both short and long form spots from concept to completion
Work in conjunction with news to produce, shoot, and edit local 30-minute specials for Nexstar initiatives including Remarkable Women, Hispanic Heritage Month, Veterans’ Voices, Black History Month, etc.
Assist with planning, production shoots, and edits for image branding campaigns and PSAs for CBS 42 community outreach initiatives
Perform other duties, as directed by management

Requirements:
Minimum 1-2 years commercial and/or promotion experience, or college degree preferred
Advanced knowledge of the post-production process, including media management and encoding video to various formats
Broad understanding of marketing and design
Advanced knowledge of cameras and support equipment (such as gimbals, Dana Dolly, and jibs), motion graphics and proper lighting techniques
Exhibit advanced editing expertise
A passion to stay up-to-date on production trends and continually strive to push boundaries
Live, multi-camera production and microwave truck experience preferred

TECHNICAL MEDIA PRODUCER – WSFA

WSFA in Montgomery, Alabama, is currently accepting applications for a Technical Media Producer (“TMP”). TMPs work with newscast producers to create, code, and direct live newscasts and productions using Ross Overdrive automation systems. The TMP is responsible for master control operations, including rolling commercial breaks, monitoring the on-air signal of WSFA and 4 subchannels, noting EAS and emergency notifications, and ingesting commercials. This position interacts between the news, sales, and engineering departments, requiring good communication skills. Computer literacy is required.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

– Work alongside newscast producers to create code for newscasts.
– Direct live newscasts and recorded content.
– Monitor on-air signals for WSFA and 4 subchannels while keeping required FCC documentation for transmitter logs, EAS notifications, and closed captioning.
– Ability to set up satellite, LiveU, and microwave live shots.
– Ingest commercials and communicate with sales and traffic departments to ensure commercial spot delivery.
– Maintain discrepancy reports to document on-air issues with programming and newscasts. Assist engineering with studio maintenance and upkeep.

Qualifications/Requirements:

– Position desires someone with at least one year’s experience at a commercial TV station.
– A background in communications with strengths in video and editing is desired.
– Newscast directing experience is a plus.
– Master Control Operator experience is also a plus.
– A keen interest in computer technology is highly desired.
